Butterscotch Cheese Bars

Total Time: 35 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 25 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 1 (11 ounce) package butterscotch chips
  • 1/3 cup butter (can substitute margarine)
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
  • 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1 cup nuts (chopped fine)
  • 14 ounces sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla
  • 1 egg

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 350 degrees. in medium saucepan, melt chips and butter. when creamy add crumbs and nuts. press one half of the mixture firmly into a well greased 9 x 13 pan. in a large bowl beat cheese until fluffy, beat in milk, vanilla and egg. pour over cust and sprinkle with remaining crumb mixture. bake for 25-30 minutes. cool completely before cutting into bars. refrigerate leftovers. these bars freeze well.
