Butterscotch Cheese Bars

- 1 (11 ounce) package butterscotch chips
- 1/3 cup butter (can substitute margarine)
- 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
- 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 1 cup nuts (chopped fine)
- 14 ounces sweetened condensed milk
- 1 tablespoon vanilla
- 1 egg
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 350 degrees. in medium saucepan, melt chips and butter. when creamy add crumbs and nuts. press one half of the mixture firmly into a well greased 9 x 13 pan. in a large bowl beat cheese until fluffy, beat in milk, vanilla and egg. pour over cust and sprinkle with remaining crumb mixture. bake for 25-30 minutes. cool completely before cutting into bars. refrigerate leftovers. these bars freeze well.
