Butterscotch Brownies (low-fat But You'd Never Know It)

Total Time: 30 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 16
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour, sifted
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts

Recipe

  • 1 grease an 8x8 inch baking pan. preheat the oven to 350.
  • 2 in a bowl, beat the egg well. add the sugar and vanilla and mix well.
  • 3 sift the flour with the salt and baking soda,then stir into the egg mixture.
  • 4 stir in the nuts.
  • 5 spread the batter in the prepared pan and bake for about 20 minutes.
  • 6 cut into 16 squares while still warm.
  • 7 cool, then remove from pan.
