Butterscotch Brownies (gift Mix In A Jar)

Ingredients

• 2 cups flour
• 1/4 teaspoon salt
• 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
• 1/2 cup sugar
• 1 3/4 cups brown sugar, packed
• 3/4 cup butter, softened
• 2 eggs
• 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Recipe

• 2 wash and thoroughly dry a 1-quart wide-mouth canning jar.
• 3 layer the ingredients in the jar as listed above starting with the flour, salt, baking powder, sugar and then brown sugar - make sure to press firmly with a flat bottomed object after each addition; make the layers as level as possible.

• 8 preheat oven to 375.
• 9 in a large bowl, blend the butter, eggs and vanilla extract.

• 11 spread the batter evenly in a greased 13x9 inch baking pan.
• 12 bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
