Bananas 'n Cream Bundt Cake

Total Time: 1 hr 10 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 50 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 12
  • 1/3 cup shortening
  • 1 1/4 cups sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 3 medium ripe bananas, mashed
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 1/4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 3/4 cup chopped walnuts or 3/4 cup pecans

Recipe

  • 1 in a mixing bowl, cream together shortening and sugar.
  • 2 add eggs, one at a time, until well blended; stir in vanilla and bananas.
  • 3 in a separate bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
  • 4 add to banana mixture alternately with sour cream.
  • 5 stir in walnuts.
  • 6 pour into a greased and floured 10-inch bundt pan.
  • 7 bake at 350° for 50 minutes or until cake tests done.
  • 8 cool, then dust with confectioners' sugar before serving.
