Banana Spice Cookies

Ingredients

• 1/2 cup shortening, such as crisco
• 1 cup brown sugar, packed
• 2 eggs
• 1 cup ripe banana, mashed (3 medium bananas)
• 2 cups flour, all purpose
• 2 teaspoons baking powder
• 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
• 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
• 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
• 1/4 teaspoon salt
• 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
• 1/2 cup raisins

Recipe

• 1 in mixing bowl, cream shortening and sugar.
• 2 add eggs and bananas, mixing well.
• 3 combine dry ingredients and add to butter mixture and blend well.
• 4 add nuts and raisins, then chill the dough for 1 hour.
• 5 dough will be very soft before chilling.
• 6 drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto parchment lined baking sheet.
• 7 bake at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes or until lightly browned.
