1970's French Strawberry Pie

Total Time: 25 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • 4 cups strawberries, quartered into pieces
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 8 ounces whipping cream
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 4 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 ready shortbread crust, keebler brand

Recipe

  • 1 spread cream cheese which has been softened with a little cream on bottom of pie shell.
  • 2 place cut up strawberries on top of cream cheese.
  • 3 place left over fresh strawberries in sauce pan and mash.
  • 4 add sugar and cornstarch.
  • 5 cook for 10 minutes on medium until really thick.
  • 6 cool strawberry mixture. (make sure its cooled).
  • 7 pour over pie.
  • 8 chill pie for 2 hours.
  • 9 whip whipping cream (i add a couple tablespoons of sugar and some vanilla for extra flavor).
  • 10 spread over top of cooled pie.
  • 11 eat and enjoy!
