Caramel Pecan Pie

Ingredients
- 1 (9 inch) unbaked pie shells
- 36 caramels, unwrapped
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/4 cup milk
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup pecan halves
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- 2 in a saucepan over low heat, combine caramels, butter and milk.
- 3 cook, stirring frequently, until smooth.
- 4 remove from heat and set aside.
- 5 in a large bowl, combine sugar, eggs, vanilla and salt.
- 6 gradually mix in the melted caramel mixture. stir in pecans.
- 7 pour filling into unbaked pie crust.
- 8 bake in the preheated oven for 45 to 50 minutes, or until pastry is golden brown.
- 9 allow pie to cool until filling is firm.
