Caramel Corn

Ingredients
- Servings: 4
- 6 cups popped popcorn
- 1/2 cup of toasted nuts (or your favorite)
- 3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup butter
- 2 tablespoons water
- 2 tablespoons light corn syrup
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
Recipe
- 1 heat oven to 250 degrees.
- 2 spread popped popcorn on 15x10x1 baking pan.
- 3 sprinkle nuts over popcorn.
- 4 in large saucepan combine brown sugar, butter, 2 tbsp.
- 5 water, corn syrup, and salt.
- 6 mix well.
- 7 bring to boil over medium heat.
- 8 boil 2 minutes stirring constantly.
- 9 remove saucepan from heat.
- 10 stir in baking soda until well mixed.
- 11 immediately pour over popcorn and nuts, toss until coated.
- 12 bake for 15 minutes.
- 13 stir, then bake 5 more minutes.
- 14 immediately spread on foil or waxed paper to cool.
