Ambassador Cake

Ingredients

• Servings: 12
• 1 cup butter, softened
• 2 cups sugar
• 5 large eggs
• 2 cups cake flour
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 1 tablespoon lemon juice
• 1 cup pecans, chopped

Recipe

• 1 cream butter and sugar well.
• 2 add eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
• 3 add vanilla extract and lemon juice and blend well.
• 4 lightly grease and flour your tube pan.
• 5 sprinkle the chopped pecans in the bottom of the tube pan and pour batter in on top of pecans.
• 6 bake at 275 degrees for 1 1/2-2 hours until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean.
