Caramel Chocolate Bar

Total Time: 32 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 22 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 48
  • 2 cups flour, all-purpose
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup pecan halves
  • 2/3 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 cup milk chocolate chips

Recipe

  • 1 beat first three ingredients in mixer.
  • 2 press on bottom of an 13x9 inch pan.
  • 3 place pecans over crust.
  • 4 set aside.
  • 5 in saucepan combine 2/3 c butter and 1/2 c br.
  • 6 sugar.
  • 7 cook over med heat, stir constantly.
  • 8 when it reaches boiling point, boil and stir for one minute longer.
  • 9 pour evenly over pecans and crust.
  • 10 bake for 18 to 22 minutes at 350 degrees until caramel layer is bubbly.
  • 11 remove and sprinkle with chips.
  • 12 when slightly melted, spread chips with knife.
  • 13 cool and cut into bars.
