Butterscotch Brownies

Total Time: 35 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 25 mins

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup soft butter
  • 1 cup light brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 3/4 cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 cup coarsley chopped walnuts

Recipe

  • 1 heat oven to 350 degrees.
  • 2 grease an 8 inch square pan.
  • 3 melt the butter, stir in brown sugar; blending well.
  • 4 let cool a moment before stirring in the egg.
  • 5 add flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • 6 mix well.
  • 7 add vanilla and walnuts.
  • 8 spread into pan.
  • 9 bake 25 minutes, do not overbake.
  • 10 cut into bars while still warm.
