Butterscotch Brownies

Ingredients
- 1/4 cup soft butter
- 1 cup light brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 3/4 cup flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/2 cup coarsley chopped walnuts
Recipe
- 1 heat oven to 350 degrees.
- 2 grease an 8 inch square pan.
- 3 melt the butter, stir in brown sugar; blending well.
- 4 let cool a moment before stirring in the egg.
- 5 add flour, baking powder, and salt.
- 6 mix well.
- 7 add vanilla and walnuts.
- 8 spread into pan.
- 9 bake 25 minutes, do not overbake.
- 10 cut into bars while still warm.
